Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej (now Onesti] Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast in history to receive a score of a perfect of 10 during an Olympic event. Bela Karrolyi, the Romanian gymnastics coach who later became her coach later on, discovered her at age six. Her first competition was at the national junior championships of 1969 and finished 13th. She won the competition in 1970. Her first ever international contest in 1972, she won the event having won three golds. When she competed for the first time as a senior in 1975 she beat out Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva the five-time European champion, winning 4 gold and one silver medal. She was the winner of the American Cup in New York City in 1976 and became the first woman in history to complete a backward double salto as dismounting from the uneven parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. As a teenager Carol Wayne started working in the entertainment field as a performer as figure skater. Along with her brother Nina Wayne she was part of a show that traveled called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on 6th September 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Carol began her career in the entertainment business when she was a teenager. Her career began with her joining Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling spectacle of entertainment. The shows featured ice skating with theatrical shows.
